Anti Back-Drive Mechanism
The CVA output mechanisms are designed with back pressure from valves in mind.
With power applied the CVA has been designed to withstand up to 125% of its rated load backdriven into the actuator without a change in its current position; this is important in preventing unwanted pressure changes in the line affecting the valve position.
When power is removed, an optional solenoid lock can be implemented to make sure the actuator is fixed in the last position. This solenoid lock can withstand back-driven loads up to the destructive forces of the actuator.
